Moving your cats and dogs across the ocean to Hawaii is no small task. There are very strict regulations & requirements that you must follow in order to successfully get your animals into your new home in Paradise. Why is the Department of Agriculture so strict when it comes to bringing your dog or cat to the islands? Because Hawaii is the only state that is rabies-free and it is important that the state keeps it that way! With no rabies, household pets are not required to be vaccinated for rabies. "The current law requires that dogs, cats and carnivores complete either the 120-day or 5 Day or Less rabies quarantine program."*
